To the life and times of the dairy farmer and their families

                      A lifestyle that worked 7 days a week, 365 days a years.

                                            The farm always came first.

This site is dedicated to the land known as Griffin's Dairy. It is with great hopes that this will provide you with informative facts about this property that will help the citizens of Abington make a sound decision as to the future fate of this parcel of land.

It was the intention when I voted as well as many others to purchase this parcel of land that it be purchased as open space for the Town of Abington.

The battle will  be waged for a long time over one attorneys request to make a simple change at Town Meeting in the language of the article.

Which is it   open space or "other use"

While the final decision on the actual usage of the land will battle on,  the facts about the land get lost in the politics. This site will bring out many positions and theories that will support that the vast portion of the land known as Griffin's Dairy is classified as wetlands and to be more precise a wet meadow.

You be the judge.      Review the facts.      Review the evidence.

Are you aware that we have witnessed the extinction of a way of life here in Abington?

Gone are the days that Abington was dotted with farms.

Today what is left?

Where has the dairy farmer gone?

The neglect by the Town of Abington goes on.

This property has been all but abandoned by the Town to lie and rot away.

The shame of it all was that the Griffin's Dairy Study Committee provided a reasonable position to maintain the present status of this property thru creating a Griffin's Dairy Board of Trustees to manage the care, use and management of this property.

Get outraged dear residents of Abington!

Have you ever wondered how much money $$$ the Town of Abington has received from  this property from people using it over the years??

How many years did the Town receive apartment rent money?? How much annually??

How much money did the Town receive from Hood Milk for commercial rental space??

How much money did the Town of Abington reinvest in this property?  >>>> $00.00  ZERO dollars

But they want them all gone!

What is so wrong about preserving a part of Abington's history?
